What Drives Us

Beauty has been such a creative outlet for me. Since I was a young girl, I’d reach into my mother’s makeup bag and was drawn to all the different shades and colors she’d use to make herself even more beautiful. However, when I’d accompany her to the makeup store, I’d notice how limiting the makeup selections were in comparison to selections for lighter skin tones. This is especially true growing up in Texas, with our large Hispanic community. Furthermore, what was apparent was that there weren’t selections for individuals with all face types (cleft lip, vitiligo, etc.). Thus, I decided to fuse my passion for beauty and science to create a makeup brand based around inclusion. I took my interest in molecular biology to investigate labs about ingredient sourcing and how we can create formulas with properties for all types of cosmetic development. Regardless of your shade, gender, or facial properties, everyone deserves to have agency to make oneself feel beautiful.

And more than that, I believe that makeup should go beyond pure aesthetics and help make a real difference in the world. When you choose our products, you’re doing more than choosing another brand: you’re helping a child receive the medical care they deserve. By purchasing a MusaBella product, you're changing a life.

Meet Bella

From the moment I could reach my mother’s makeup bag, I was drawn to color, texture, and transformation. At just three years old, I realized that makeup wasn’t just about beauty, it was about curiosity and creation. Watching my mother get ready, seeing how color could shift mood, confidence, and presence, became the highlight of my day.

By six, my imagination had outgrown paper. Kitchen ingredients would mysteriously disappear, only to reappear in my bathroom: my first laboratory. That space became a place of experimentation, where art met curiosity and creativity met chemistry. My room transformed along with my ideas. Walls, carpet, furniture, everything, reflected a child who didn’t just love color, but lived inside it. Art and creation followed me everywhere. Preschool, then school projects, then any space that allowed me to mix, build, and imagine. Color, to me, was never just visual; it was emotional and spoke without words, carrying meaning.

During the pandemic, that curiosity deepened. What began as creating sanitizers for fun quickly became something more powerful: a realization that science and art could coexist beautifully. I began developing formulas, learning how ingredients worked together, and understanding that creativity could also be purposeful. That time gave me direction, sharpening my skills. It showed me that my gift had substance.

By fifth grade, I finally convinced my parents that this wasn’t just playtime, it was a calling. Their belief became my foundation; their support, my gift, transformed into intention.

Traveling with my family expanded my vision even further. From Japan to Paris, Spain, and Nicaragua, London to Mexico, Italy, and Costa Rica, I absorbed the language of color across cultures, as well as textures, rituals, artistry, and beauty traditions from around the world. Each place added depth to my understanding of beauty as something global, emotional, and deeply human.

Makeup has always been my dream, but not just makeup for appearance. Makeup for expression, confidence, and connection. I believe color is more than beauty. It’s a feeling and a voice that can inspire, heal, and empower. That belief is the heart of my brand. This is makeup with purpose that delivers quality you can trust and stands for creativity, intention, and impact.

When you choose this brand, you’re not just choosing a product; you’re choosing to be part of a vision that believes beauty can help create a better world.

A Lifetime of Giving Back

Giving back isn't new to me. Since I was four years old, I've traveled the globe with my organization, Bella's Mission, donating toys, food, and clothing to orphanages, hospitals, nursing homes, and homeless shelters in countries worldwide. I've helped paint orphanages, fed families on Christmas, and seen firsthand how small actions create real change.

MusaBella Cosmetics is an extension of that mission. Every product you buy helps us continue supporting the children and communities that need it most.
